Olean Gus Macker Tournament Site

Gus Macker 3-on-3 Basketball, America's largest outdoor basketball tournament celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2008, will be held in Olean for the first time on August 15-17, 2008. The 3-day event is organized and will benefit both the Olean High School Sports Booster and the Olean City School District Foundation.
 

The tournament will be held on Delaware Avenue and North Barry Streets, off North Union Street, near the Olean Center Mall. The tournament will be held on the street surface with most courts on Delaware Avenue. Registration will be located in the Olean Center Mall. Concessions provided by the Old Library Restaurant will be located at three different sites along Delaware, and water/sports beverage concessions will also be located along the avenue.

SHUCK, RATTLE 'N' ROLL WEEKEND

Olean, NY has the extreme pleasure of hosting three super events the same weekend August 15-17, 2008: the Olean YMCA Cornfest and Wellness Rally; the Gus Macker 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament and Community Festival; and the Chamber’s 6th Annual Rally in the Valley. The theme of the weekend is Shuck, Rattle, and Roll: Shuck (as in corn), Rattle (as in the rim), and Roll (the motorcycles).
